Description

Grilled Lemon-Pepper Tofu is a light, protein-rich, and refreshing dish that is easy on digestion and full of flavour without being heavy. The lemon adds freshness, black pepper gives gentle warmth, and grilling keeps it low in oil. It works well as a main protein for lunch or dinner, especially for those looking for a clean, plant-based meal.

Ingredients

  • Firm tofu – 100 g

  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon

  • Black pepper (freshly crushed) – ¼ teaspoon

  • Olive oil – ½ teaspoon

  • Garlic (optional, finely crushed) – ½ teaspoon

  • Salt – to taste

  • Mixed herbs (optional)

Instructions

  • Pat the tofu dry and cut into thick slices or cubes.

  • In a bowl, mix lemon juice, black pepper, olive oil, salt, and garlic.

  • Coat the tofu gently and let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.

  • Grill on a non-stick pan or grill for 2–3 minutes on each side until lightly golden.

  • Sprinkle herbs and serve warm.
