Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour: 1 cup
- Spinach: 1 cup (chopped)
- Onion: 1 medium (finely chopped)
- Green chili: 1 (finely chopped)
- Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: to taste
- Ghee: 1 teaspoon
Instructions
- Wash the spinach thoroughly and chop it finely.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
- Add chopped onion and green chili to the pan. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
- Add chopped spinach to the pan and cook until it wilts and the excess moisture evaporates. Season with salt according to taste.
- Allow the spinach mixture to cool down to room temperature.
- Divide the whole wheat flour into small portions and roll them into small balls.
- Roll out each ball into a small chapatti.
- Place a spoonful of the spinach mixture onto one half of the chapatti.
- Fold the other half over the filling and press the edges to seal.
- Roll out the stuffed chapatti gently to ensure the filling spreads evenly inside.
- Cook the stuffed chapatti on a hot griddle until golden brown spots appear on both sides.
- Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.
