Description

Spinach stuffed chapatti offers a delightful twist to the traditional chapatti, infusing it with the goodness of spinach and aromatic spices. Ingredients

  • Whole wheat flour: 1 cup
  • Spinach: 1 cup (chopped)
  • Onion: 1 medium (finely chopped)
  • Green chili: 1 (finely chopped)
  • Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: to taste
  • Ghee: 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  • Wash the spinach thoroughly and chop it finely.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
  • Add chopped onion and green chili to the pan. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
  • Add chopped spinach to the pan and cook until it wilts and the excess moisture evaporates. Season with salt according to taste.
  • Allow the spinach mixture to cool down to room temperature.
  • Divide the whole wheat flour into small portions and roll them into small balls.
  • Roll out each ball into a small chapatti.
  • Place a spoonful of the spinach mixture onto one half of the chapatti.
  • Fold the other half over the filling and press the edges to seal.
  • Roll out the stuffed chapatti gently to ensure the filling spreads evenly inside.
  • Cook the stuffed chapatti on a hot griddle until golden brown spots appear on both sides.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.
